The owners of Bonesse Apizza in North Haven announced in a Facebook post that Saturday, May 14, was the pizzeria's last day of business.

The restaurant was located at 36 Middletown Ave.

In the announcement, the owners said they opened the family business nearly 27 years ago and that recent years have brought hardship.

"Many of you became our friends-- our family -- as you continued to support us, even when times got rough," the announcement reads. "The last few years have brought a lot of change and uncertainty, and with it, a lack of manpower & help."

The owners added that they have decided to begin the next chapter of their lives and retire.

"Thank you for all the wonderful memories... it has been a beautiful experience and we will miss you all," the announcement reads.
